NETFLIX fans are ‘too scared to finish’ its terrifying new horror series Ares - which tracks gory cult initiations.
The original Dutch series follows Rosa, a biracial medical student who is inducted into Ares, a secret society in Holland.
Ares is full of rich, white members so her arrival certainly ruffles some feathers, and she soon discovers it isn't your typical secret society, as something scary and dark is chained up in the basement.
Coupled with a series of brutal suicides among its most promising members, Ares certainly makes for scary viewing that many viewers found hard to watch.
Taking to Twitter, one freaked out viewer wrote: "ares on netflix is so f***ing disturbing i can't finish it."
Another tweeted: "ok so has anybody watched Ares on netflix? cause im scared sh**less and i wanna know if i should keep watching or."
A third was equally scared, writing: "ARES on Netflix is the CRAZIEST f***ing show. This plot is unbelievably nuts."
Despite the twisted, scary and often gory scenes across the eight half-hour episodes, many viewers were full of praise for the foreign language production.
One fan wrote: "@netflix please keep creating foreign shows such as Dark and Ares. They both have superb casts, fantastic direction and visuals with great eerie and engrossing tales to tell."
Another viewer tweeted: "Dark, perturbing, and the cinematography is really well done. Definitely will be one of my favorite foreign Netflix releases of the year."
