The Walking Dead reveals second cave survivor as fans fear Connie has been killed
THE last time we saw the cast of The Walking Dead the circumstances were desperate to say the least.
In the tenth midseason finale the group found themselves ensnared after Carol (Melissa McBride) gave chase to the leader of The Whisperers, Alpha (Samantha Morton), playing right into her hands.

She was joined by Daryl (Norman Reedus), Aaron (Ross Marquand), Jerry (Cooper Andrews), Magna (Nadia Hilker) and sisters Kelly (Angel Theory) and Connie (Lauren Ridloff).
Alpha lead them straight over a sinkhole, which saw them tumble into the middle of a subterranean horde.
Since then, fans have been wondering whether everyone will make it out alive, looking for clues in the latest trailer.
Now a set of first look pictures have confirmed that Jerry survives, at least up until the siege on Hilltop.

In the shots he can be seen gearing up for war alongside Ezekiel (Khary Payton) as The Whisperers wage an assault on their walls.
Viewers glean some comfort after AMC bosses released a clip of Daryl after he’d managed to escape the trap, confirming that Alpha hadn’t got the better of him on this occasion.
Subsequently, the likes of Aaron and Kelly were spotted in footage from the allied communities’ battles with the mask –wearing faction.
However, the likes of Magna and Connie were notably absent from most of the trailer.
This could spell a disaster for Connie’s ongoing will-they-won’t-they romance with Daryl.

Connie has proved to be a popular character, not only for bringing out a softer side of Daryl, but for representing the hearing-impaired.
Yet given how dark it is in the cave, it’s fair to say that with limited sight and hearing, Connie could easily fall prey to the walkers.
Perhaps she will end up sacrificing herself to allow her friends and younger sister to make an escape.
The Walking Dead will air on FOX in the UK on February 24 and be available to stream on NOW TV.
