Russell Tovey as Jake
Russell is an English actor who is best known for playing the role of werewolf George Sands in the BBC's supernatural drama, Being Human.
He played Rudge in both the stage and film versions of The History Boys and appeared in the film, The Good Liar.
His character, Jake is a personal trainer who is separated from his wife.
When his mother Vivien introduces the family to her new love interest Mark, he plays the disapproving son - quick to point out it is too soon after their father's death.
Explaining to The Sun Online: "I think Jake is the epitome of toxic masculinity. He has never wanted to imagine his mum as anything other than his mum...I don't think he takes any responsibility for any of his actions."
Francesca Annis as Vivien
Francesca is an English actress who is best known for her roles in Reckless, Wives And Daughters, Cranford and Home Fires.
The six-time nominated Bafta star won Best Actress in 1979 for Lillie.
Her film credits include The Libertine (2004), The Debt Collector (1999) and Dune (1984).
Her character Vivien starts a new relationship with retired GP Mark after the death of her children's father.
Her offspring disapprove of their mother's new relationship as her priorities start to shift - causing family tensions to mount.
Imelda Staunton as Mary

Her role as nosy neighbour Mary in Flesh And Blood is pivotal in causing seeds of doubts within the family as to the intentions of Vivien's new man Mark.
Stephen Rea as Mark
Stephen Rea is an award-winning Irish actor who has appeared on film, TV, and in the West End.
His previous acting credits include, Interview With The Vampire, Breakfast On Pluto, and Out Of The Dark.
He received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in the 1992 film The Crying Game.
In Flesh And Blood, he plays Vivien's new mysterious love interest Mark - a retired GP.

Claudie Blakley is an English actress with a host of notable roles.

She plays Vivien's eldest daughter Helen - a successful businesswoman who's married to George (Keir Charles) and has a teenage daughter called Lily (Grace Hogg-Robinson)

Lydia Leonard as Natalie
Lydia Leonard was born in Paris but trained as an actress in the UK.
She has appeared in numerous RSC stage productions and is best known for her portrayal in the TV series Gentleman Jack and movie Last Christmas.
She plays the third sibling Natalie, an assistant in a local construction firm.
Natalie is lying to the rest of her family about being in a relationship and her candid behaviour makes her the most tolerant towards her mother's new admirer.
