BRITS 2020 fans have been left demanding to know what Lewis Capaldi said during his acceptance speech.
Scots-singer Lewis, 23, took to the stage after winning the award for Best New Artist at tonight's glitzy ceremony in London.
But as he guzzled from a bottle on stage at the O2 Arena, fans were left puzzled after ITV muted almost all the sound as he spoke into the microphone.
One tweeted: "Why did they mute the entirety of Lewis Capaldi’s speech? #Brits2020."
Another added: "What do YOU think @LewisCapaldi said in his Best New Artist acceptance speech??? #Brits2020."
A third said: "Where did his acceptance speech go?!"
A fourth mused: "Lewis capaldi's speech was very inspiring i feel like i'm a better person now."
The Sun Online can reveal that Lewis in fact said, at breakneck speed with no pause for breath: "Thank you very f***ing much see you in a bit goodnight."
Lewis was nominated for four Brit Awards at tonight's ceremony, which includes his win for Best New Artist.
He also bagged the statue for British Single but lost out on Best Album and Best British Male Artist.
Stormzy will be taking that trophy home with him, having scooped the title for 2020.
Lewis is, however, did open the Brits with an emotional performance, and was one of the first to arrive on the red carpet.
In his usual style, he struck several amusing poses for the waiting fans and photographers.
