Peaky Blinders’ Joe Cole lifts lid on Jon Shelby’s fate in series 6 amid epic resurrection theory
PEAKY Blinders season 6 is currently in production and is slated to hit BBC One later this year.
The acclaimed gang warfare drama has amassed a global fan base, who during the long wait between series have been debating all manner of theories.
One piece of speculation surrounds the fate of Jon Shelby, who was played by actor Joe Cole.
While Joe met a grisly end, Peaky Blinders has a history of bringing characters back from the dead.
Alfie Solomons, played by Tom Hardy, was previously resurrected, despite being shot in the head.
With that in mind, could Joe make a comeback against all odds and be reunited with his family?
Unfortunately, Cole isn’t holding his breath.

"I think it’s hard to come back from that. So I’m not sure!" he told Radio Times.
Cole recently filmed new Sky drama Gangs of London, which as the name would suggest, has plenty in common with Peaky Blinders.
Produced by the same team behind The Raid movies, the series is decidedly lighter in tone, but still contains plenty of violence.
"It’s a modern-day, heightened, contemporary gang show set in a pretty crazy London that we haven’t seen before – expect a lot of drama, a lot of violence and a lot of fun!" Cole went on.
"There are some similarities but I think it’s very new, fresh. I honestly don’t think that we’ve seen this in television before. I’m very excited for people to see it."
The comments come after Imelda Staunton called on Peaky Blinders bosses to cast her in an upcoming series.
Elsewhere, the show’s creator revealed the hidden meaning behind the show’s theme song Red Right Hand.
He also suggested that a spin-off series was in the works after admitting that Tommy Shelby’s fate had already been plotted in full.
Peaky Blinders season 5 is available to stream on Netflix and iPlayer now.
