Coronation Street’s Gemma to face new trauma as she’s bullied by cruel mum-shamers at parent and baby group
CORONATION Street’s Gemma is set to face new trauma when she’s bullied by cruel mum-shamers at parent and baby group.
The new mum-of-four has been struggling to cope with her quads since giving birth at the end of last year.
Now The Sun Online can reveal Gemma will endure more misery when she joins a baby group.
Next week's episodes of Corrie will see the former kebab shop worker attend a baby senses class with the quads.
Class leader Vanessa and her friend Imogen make an effort to get to know Gemma, complimenting her on her parenting skills.
But as she laps up the attention, she is painfully unaware that the spiteful pair are mocking her behind her back.
A source told us: "Gemma joins a new group for support, but it all goes wrong when she clashes with a few bitchy women.
"They really shame her and make her question herself - and the behaviour of some of the mums will kick start a new mental health storyline for Gemma and send her on a spiral.
"It'll be really tough for her - and really relatable for a lot of parents."
Corrie viewers have watched new parents Gemma and Chesney struggled to cope with their quadruplet babies since Gemma went into labour while stuck on a cable car last year.
Chesney and Gemma were recently sacked by Freshcos advertising campaign after announcing the brand was a sham.
It all kicked off when Tara refused to postpone the photoshoot when Gemma realised it clashed with Aled’s doctor’s appointment.

The couple have been struggling financially and were overjoyed when they landed a five-figure advertising deal from Freshcos to help pay for the children.
But it all ended in tears when Freshcos pulled out of the deal.
