YOUNG Sheldon’s latest episode took fans of The Big Bang Theory on a poignant trip down memory lane.
The spin-off series follows the childhood of Sheldon Cooper (Ian Armitage), who is played by Jim Parsons on TBBT.
New episode Pasadena saw Sheldon visit his future university, the California Institute of Technology, with his dad George Senior (Lance Barber).
The pair visit the college to see a lecture from legendary scientist Stephen Hawking, with Sheldon worries this could be his only chance to meet his hero.
Of course, we know Sheldon’s fears are unfounded, as he later goes on to be a colleague and friend of Hawking in TBBT.
Towards the end of the episode, Sheldon and George visit the CalTech cafeteria, an iconic space throughout the course of TBBT.
"Imagine all the stimulating conversations that go on at these tables," Sheldon remarks.
"I bet," George replied.
Sheldon adds: "I can see myself going here one day."
To which George concludes: "I think you'd fit right in."
