'GET OUTTA HERE!'

Stranger Things posts first look behind the scenes video of season 4 – and the cast can barely contain their excitement

STRANGER Things season 4 is officially underway - and by the looks of the latest footage, the cast are just as thrilled as fans.

The hit Netflix series whetted viewers' appetites last month with a sneak peek at Jim Hopper's (David Harbour) fate.

It emerged that the Hawkins Sheriff had in fact survived the explosion at the Starcourt Mall and had been captured by the Russians, before being put to work in a labour camp.

The latest footage was decidedly lighter in nature though, as the likes of Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder and Finn Wolfhard beamed away at the official script read-through.

Finn wasted no time grabbing a suitably retro camera and snapping all kinds of shots of his co-star as they dived into the plot of the upcoming episodes.

Underscored by electro synths and with a grainy filter dating the footage, the video was certainly on brand.

Max actress Sadie Sink gushed "Oh my God, it's happening!" while a grinning Millie hugged a puppy close to her chest while strolling around the lot.

"We are at the Stranger Things season 4 table read," she added.

Next Brett Gellman, who plays Murray Bauman, announced: "The real work begins."

Swatting away Finn with mock outrage, he hissed: "Get outta here, go!"

Meanwhile Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington, showed off his striking new hair.

The Duffer Brothers serve as executive producers on the series, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment, as well as Iain Paterson.

Stranger Things seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Netflix now.
