Dog The Bounty Hunter daughter Lyssa ‘plans to move from Hawaii to be closer to dad and escape painful memories of Beth’
DOG The Bounty Hunter's daughter Lyssa Chapman is considering leaving Hawaii to be closer to her dad and escape emotional memories of her beloved stepmom Beth, a source has revealed.
The insider also suggested the move could also signal the end of her engagement to girlfriend Lei.
Lyssa has lived on the islands since she was six, except for a few of her teen years where she lived with her mom.
But she has had an emotional year - dealing with the death of Dog's wife Beth in June from cancer, then becoming estranged from after accusing him of moving on too fast with now then getting arrested following an argument with her fiancé last month, .
She also said goodbye to her eldest daughter Abbie, 17, this week, after she , and a source close to the reality star said she now wants a fresh start.
"Lyssa has had a tough few months but she always tries to stay positive," the source told The Sun.
"She's really considering moving from Hawaii.
"She loves Hawaii and the people there but now the island is also full of painful and emotional memories of Beth and it's hard.
"Now Abbie has left - it's just her and her youngest daughter. There are hardly any Chapmans left on the island and there used to be loads of them.
"Things haven't been great with Lei either - everyone thinks this could mean the end of their engagement.
"Lyssa was really heartbroken after the arrest too and it's made her lose trust in the police there - no one should be arrested just for having a verbal argument in their own home.
"Now she's talking to Dog again she wants to move closer to him and her other family members - especially her daughter who will be stationed in Texas.
"Dog packed all his things up and left Hawaii last year - it doesn't look like he is returning.
"It would be too hard for him to go back to Hawaii right now too - there are memories of Beth all over the island."
Lyssa, who has a successful clothing line called Baby by Lyssa Chapman, is also in talks about starring in a movie, the source added.
"She just feels now is the time to do something new, be closer to her daughter and other family instead of being an ocean away," the insider said.
"She's still considering all her options but she's always been an entrepreneur so she'll be successful wherever she decides to go.
"Her clothing firm is going great - and she can carry that on from the mainland.
"And she's also in talks about a movie role which could be really exciting for her."
Earlier this week Lyssa revealed she and her dad had their first proper conversation since all the arguments over Moon started in December.
Lyssa and other family members had hit out at Dog for , who was Beth's maid of honor and also the ex of their brother.
And while their relationship is not perfect yet, she says they are in a better place and "family will always be family".
She told The Sun earlier this week: "He called and we just chatted and I updated him about Abbie and told him I love him.
"He said, 'I need to talk to my daughter and my granddaughters'.
"I told him of course and then Abbie spoke to him later in the day.
"You know we still have a long way to go and obviously we are not together but family will always be family.
