CRUFTS viewers were left in hysterics tonight as the Best in Show winner went for a poo during its victory lap.
Maisie's proud owner was forced to scoop more than just the top prize when the Wire Haired Dachshund had an unexpected toilet emergency.
The gaffe was witnessed by a packed arena and 11 million viewers at home who'd tuned in to see the winner of this year's competition.
But Maisie's trainer Kim McCalmont took the embarrassing moment in her stride and calmly got rid of the evidence.
One viewer wrote: "Oh my days!!!! Maisie having a poo on her lap of honour is just brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
"She’s basically saying to her owner 'I’ve been poked and prodded all day and this is what I think about it. Now get me some treats because I am a winning queen'."
Another added: “I love the winner of best in show taking a massive s*** when she does her walk of honour. Rolling on the floor laughing. Goooo Maisie #Crufts”
Someone else said: “Maisie pooing is the tv highlight of the year Smiling face with open mouth and tightly-closed eyes. She’s a winner and she had every right to s***! #crufts.”
Maisie beat seven finalists to claim her crown, including Pixie the Kerry Blue Terrier, Frankie the Miniature Poodle, Pablo the Bishon Frise, Elsie the Irish Setter, who was the oldest competitor, Drago the Bull Mastiff, and Zokni, the Old English Sheepdog.
Reality TV star Scarlett Moffatt interviewed Kim after the win and said: "I think that might be the most expensive poo ever taken. Are you going to sell it on eBay?"

Kim then hilariously revealed: "Well, it's stuck on the bottom of your shoe..."
Scarlett laughed: "I might take it home and put it on eBay.. the champion's poo."
Around 26,000 dogs took part in the four-day event at the NEC in Birmingham.
Crufts was first held in 1891 and sees competitors around the world travel to win Best in Show.
