Little Mix cancel video shoot in Brazil due to crew’s coronavirus concerns

IT had been planned as a jam-packed work trip but Little Mix got the chance to relax in sunny Brazil instead.

I can reveal the group had been due to shoot a music video in South America but scrapped the plans a week before they jetted off because their creative team didn’t want to travel the 8,800km.

Their crew were concerned they may be quarantined for two weeks on their return to the UK due to coronavirus fears if they did go, meaning the group instead flew out to perform at a festival in Sao Paulo by themselves.

Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock wore these incredible blue and orange outfits for the performance, but Perrie Edwards was missing after falling ill herself, meaning she was unable to make the trip.

The news would have caused a headache for their team, who are now trying to reschedule the video, believed to be for the lead single from their upcoming sixth album.

A music insider said: “Little Mix have been working really hard on their BBC1 show The Search in recent weeks as well as putting in rehearsals for their festival show and the new video.

“But they obviously couldn’t shoot anything without a crew so it was cancelled a week before they went out there. They are looking into different locations and schedules to make sure they can get brilliant visuals for their new single.

“They will be filming it somewhere else once Perrie is feeling better and the other girls have returned from Brazil. But they know they are up against the clock to make sure it is all done in time.”

The Search is expected to begin on BBC1 next month, while their as-yet untitled album is being scheduled for release in the coming months, ahead of a huge UK  tour in June and July.

With such a hectic year on the cards, a few days to unwind in Brazil might not be such a bad thing after all.

TWO of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's kids have had surgery this year.

The actress said: “I have spent two months in and out of surgeries with my eldest daughter and watched her younger sister go under the knife for a hip surgery.”

Faces may be back to stay

THEY reunited for their first televised performance in years at last month’s Brit Awards – and it might not be the last you see of Faces.

Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones are set to go on tour – according to Rod’s wife, that is.

In an exclusive chat, Penny Lancaster said: “There’s a definite chance that those Faces will be coming back.

“The wives are certainly getting their diaries together, that’s for sure.”

Asked if there would be a tour, she added: “I’m sure, if I’ve got anything to do with it, there will.”

But as Rod has booked shows in North America and Australia from July until November, there might still be a bit of a wait.

Faces reunited for their first show in four years last September, when they gave a surprise gig at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey in aid of The Prostate Project charity, where Rod revealed he had secretly beaten the illness.

Penny told last month how she and Ronnie’s wife Sally were urging the Stay With Me superstars to reunite.

She said: “Us wives are trying to get the boys back together. There’s nothing like them.”

I’m sure the trio don’t need an excuse to go on another jolly boys’ outing.

Meg's azure thing

THERE was no missing the love as Meghan Trainor dressed as a giant heart in this amazing electric blue outfit with huge fluffy sleeves on Sunday.

The Voice coach was taking part in a Los Angeles fashion show by British designer Christian Cowan in collaboration with cartoon characters The Powerpuff Girls, so it was only right that Meghan looked equally as animated.

If she wore more bonkers clothes like this on The Voice, I might feel more inclined to tune in.

MUMFORD AND SONS are the final headliners for the Teenage Cancer Trust fundraising shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The group will perform on March 23 and be supported by indie-rock band THE BIG MOON.

One Zep ahead

AFTER a long legal dispute, a court has ruled that Led Zeppelin did not steal the opening riff to their classic song Stairway To Heaven.

The rockers were accused of ripping off US band Spirit's track Taurus, written three years earlier in 1968.

Led Zep have now won an appeal launched after a 2016 judge also ruled in their favour.

The band will hope that’s the final step in the Stairway row.
