Stacey Solomon reveals coronavirus crisis threatens son’s birthday trip to Butlin’s

STACEY Solomon is in a panic as she tries to arrange a new birthday party for son Zach after his was cancelled due to the coronavirus.
The family had planned to go to Butlin's but have cancelled after Prime Minister Boris Johnson asked people to cancel non-essential travel.

Stacey, 30, admitted she was feeling "really nervous" about the coronavirus epidemic but was trying to put on a brave face.

"Work has been cancelled today," she wrote on Instagram.

"I'm smiling in this picture but I'm actually feeling really nervous... I'm going to take the boys to school and spend the rest of the day working things out."

She added fans won't see her online for a while: "So I'll be off my stories for a while."

It was then Stacey revealed she had to come up with a new plan to celebrate Zach's 12th birthday on March 21 after their trip to Butlin's seaside resort was cancelled.

"I need to sort things outs for Zachy's birthday Saturday (we had to book to go to Butlins not going to happen)," she wrote with a laughing face emoji.

"So need to think fast!"

The mum of three added before logging off: "I hope you're all ok today. Look after yourselves. See you soon, love you all."

The Loose Women panellist had told fans earlier that she was holding off making a big announcement about a work project because it "doesn't feel right" to announce it during the coronavirus crisis.

Stacey has used her Instagram stories to help keep her and her fans's spirits up, including posting a video of her 10-month-old Rex laughing.

"For anyone who needs to hear this sound today," she said in a message to her followers.

Adding: "Shopping was absolutely crazy. Thinking of everyone who is in need of essentials but people are clearing the bloody shelves."

The X Factor finalist has been open about her battles with anxiety, especially about the coronavirus, but has come up with some clever ways to overcome her mental health.

One of her favourite coping methods is making up "silly" dances while cooking.

With the threat of COVID-19 looming, Stacey decided to have a little jig while cooking to the sound of Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody on the weekend.

She twirled while peeling potatoes, writing: "I'm so anxious at the minute (probably to do with a certain virus) so sometimes I just have to get my side out and take my mind off of everything..."

The next clip shows her on the floor peeling spring onions: "I'm pretty sure peeling spring onions on the floor is actually more effective"

She's then washing a colander filled with the onions: "Always wash your veg. It's as important as washing your hands."

Stacey has three children, Zach with former boyfriend Dean Cox, Leighton, 7, from ex-fiancee Aaron Barnhan and Rex.

His dad is Eastenders star and Dancing on Ice winner, Joe Swash, who Stacey is engaged to.
