Last week, The Sun exclusively confirmed Bear against his baby mama on March 12.

If the petition went through, it would have terminated Bear as River's legal father, and would have freed him of any obligation to pay child support and other financial responsibilities.

However, the Discovery Channel personality now says the filing was a court error and insists he is in fact River’s dad.

He told his 106,000 Instagram followers: “Hello everyone! There is something I would like to say! 1. It was two days after River was born before anyone told me!

“2. I am not trying to un-establish myself as Rivers Dad, I am trying to establish myself AS his dad, so that I will have equal rights as a parent!

“When my petition was filed there was a mistake in the order, it was supposed to say I’m trying to establish myself as Rivers dad! NOT un-establish!

“Please check the court records and you will find the mistake has been rectified! I will always consider myself Rivers dad! Thank you everybody for sticking with me! Stay health and God bless!”

According to legal documents obtained by The Sun, Bear’s March 12 request of “disestablishment” has changed to “establishment of paternity” in what appeared to initially be an online error.

Raiven welcomed their premature son on March 9 and said she could not stop crying after the early birth.

Bear’s ex of River hooked up to wires in the hospital, as doctors continued to monitor his condition.

She captioned the post: "I truly have no idea how I survived without you. Loving you is overwhelming and captivating. Genuinely my emotions are so overwhelming.

“I know people say you love your children like no one else. But I never realized how much of an understatement that was. Mommy cries every time I hold you or think about you.”

The long-haired TV personality initially remained silent over his son’s birth and revealed he was "out camping" just days later.

He posted a solo shot of himself in the woods alongside the caption: "Been out camping by myself!”

The star and Raiven have shared a tumultuous on-again-off-again relationship but split for the final time this fall.

She previously filed for a restraining order against the reality star in February, claiming he verbally abused her, threatened her with a gun, and used cocaine.

Bear denied ever using drugs in a social media post, but did not respond to the other allegations.
