Taking to Instagram earlier today, the Body Coach told his followers that online lessons will start on Monday and run through till Friday on Joe's YouTube channel.

He told his fans: "It's called PE with Joe. It's a workout specifically designed for kids because when the schools are closed there is no PE.

"Don't worry I've got you, I'm going to take this over and get your kids moving and feeling energised, positive, optimistic.

Joe continued: "It's a 30 minute session for little kids right up to secondary school. Get involved, have fun. We're gonna be doing loads of basic exercises, you don't need a lot of room. I'm looking forward to it.

"I am going to be the nation's PE teacher starting from Monday! Don't forget your PE kit!" he finished with.

Sharing a screenshot of some of the videos already on his channel, Joe wrote: "Exercise can transform the way you feel and react and interact with everyone around you."

He later shared another photo on Instagram promoting the free lessons and captioned it: "I produce so much free fitness content online and I never ask for anything in return but today I need your help.

"I need your support to help spread this online so as many parents as possible know that this is an option for them to use next week.

"Parents are going to be under pressure next week and for 30 minutes a day I can take over and inspire and energise the kids to get active, bounce around and have fun. You can even join in with the kids.

"Please share away. This is going to help millions of children and parents feel happier for 30 minutes and beyond everyday ☺️❤️ #PEwithJoe."

His gesture of goodwill comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced schools will close from tomorrow with A-Level and GCSE exams cancelled.

The closures will start this Friday afternoon, with no lessons planned once they've left.

Schools will be closed for normal pupils, but kept open for the children of "key workers".

This means parents working in the NHS, emergency services and other essential fields will still be able to send their kids off while they work.

The move comes two weeks before kids are meant to break up for the Easter break, and they may not reopen before the six-week summer break too, with the Education Secretary today saying they would be closed "until further notice".

Schools will be closed for at least five weeks.
