COUNTRY music star Brad Paisley has got into the community spirit during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 47-year-old singer has organised food deliveries to the elderly residents of his hometown of Nashville.

He revealed on Instagram that his recently opened free grocery store - called The Store - is delivering food to seniors in the area, as they are more at risk if they catch the virus.

"Well, The Store is open, but in light of how times have changed, we have decided to change the way we do things a bit," he said in an Instagram video.

"We’re mobilizing a group of volunteers to deliver one week’s groceries to elderly people that should not be out shopping on their own in these times."

The Mud on the Tires singer added that everyone involved is "following protocol to make sure we’re doing this right."

He asked followers to reach out if they knew of any older members of the community who needed to be added to the delivery list.

The Store itself will remain open, too, explained Paisley.

People are asked to "bring ID and either proof of income, proof of residence, or statement of unemployment for our recently unemployed neighbors," to have access to the resource.

The decided to open early, calling it "fortuitous" timing amid the COVID-19 pandemic and recent devastating tornadoes that hit Music City.

The We Danced hit-maker also played a free set for fans on his Instagram live as they stayed home to slow the spread of coronavirus.

He took to social media along with Tim McGraw to play requests from fans, to help alleviate the boredom and isolation.
