Emmerdale spoilers: Wendy Posner shocked as Bob Hope confesses to having feelings for her
WENDY POSNER is lost for words in Emmerdale next week when Bob Hope confesses his true feelings.
Bob’s declaration comes straight after Wendy’s handbag is swiped by a thief, but Bob’s there to be her knight in shining armour.
Emmerdale viewers watched Wendy ruffled a fair few feathers when she moved into the village at the end of last year with her son Luke.
Her other son Lee had previously raped Victoria and continued to terrorise her until Vic's brother Robert accidentally bludgeoned him to death with a shovel.
Vic was then left distraught when Robert was sent to prison for the crime, largely thanks to Wendy's involvement in the murder trial.
Unsurprisingly, upon Wendy's arrival, many villagers made sure to keep their distance.
But Bob Hope always seemed to be there defending her right from the start, leaving viewers wondering whether a romance would blossom between the pair.
In episodes of Emmerdale set to air next week, Bob organises a treasure hunt in an effort to bring Victoria and Luke together after their break up.
Mandy then encourages Bob to tell Wendy how he really feels about her.
But his grand plans are foiled when a passer-by swipes Wendy’s handbag.
As Bob comforts Wendy in the wake of the incident, he blurts out his true feelings.
But how will Wendy react?
Susan Cookson - who plays Wendy on the ITV soap - spoke to about a potential romance with her character Wendy and Bob after her arrival in the village.
She said: "Bob is such a lovely character and a kind man with huge life experience. Lots has gone on in Bob's life. Bob is someone who has seen this woman and has a level of empathy for what she's been through.
"He's cut through all of the anger, hatred and hurt that's going on for so many different characters. He sees that, as a mother, she's trying to do the best she can for her children and her grandchild.

She added: "He's a very kind person and he feels that he just needs to hold out a hand and show a bit of support.
"It's very well-received by Wendy that someone knows what she's going through. Bob has lost a child and Wendy thinks: 'Thank God that he knows what I'm going through'."
