George Ezra has split from his girlfriend Florrie after three years together
IF George Ezra needed some inspiration for his next album, this might be it.
I can reveal he has sadly split up with his girlfriend of three years, British singer Florrie.
The couple had been living together in London but she moved out recently when they ended their relationship.
A source close to George said: “They split up a few months ago but it was amicable and they remain on good terms.
“It’s not been an easy time, especially with everything else going on in the world.
“But George is keeping his head down and finding the positives in everything that has happened.”
The Shotgun singer is now living alone and admitted he is finding it tough not seeing people while self-isolating.
Talking about loneliness on his Phone A Friend podcast, he said: “It’s just made it obvious to me how much I rely on human contact.
“I felt it sneaking in. It was like, ‘What’s that? Oh you feel a bit alone’.”
And he went on to make a gag about the prospect of setting up an account on the website OnlyFans, where users can share explicit photos and videos of themselves to paying subscribers.
He joked: “I’m close to it. I’m that alone.”
The couple got together in 2017 while he was making his second album Staying At Tamara’s, which was the UK’s second best-selling album of 2018 and won him the British Male Solo Artist gong at the Brit Awards the following year.
Speaking in April 2018 he said: “Three months or four months before the last record was completely wrapped up, I met my now-girlfriend.
"The timing was brilliant because we actually got to spend time together and go on a few dates.”
He added: “I live with my girlfriend, who is a songwriter. It’s not easy on tour. We have special nights out to catch up.”
George is believed to have been working on his third album for the past year.
Something tells me it will be well worth the wait.

Paris still a smash
PARIS Hilton doesn’t seem to have aged since The Simple Life, judging by this flawless snap.
But while fans of the Noughties reality show won’t be getting a reunion of the hotel heiress and pal Nicole Richie, they will soon get an insight into Paris’s life.
She invited cameras to follow her around for a year to film YouTube documentary This Is Paris, which will be out in May.
She told Rollacoaster magazine, available via : “I just felt this was the perfect time.
“I don’t think two years ago I would’ve been ready to do a movie like this.
"But now I feel like it’s time for people to know the real Paris.”
She revealed she has turned down offers to do more episodes of The Simple Life.
Paris said: “My schedule is just so insane that I don’t know where I’d find the time.”
Probably for the best.
Mum memes well, but hampers Lewis
NONE of us would have Lewis Capaldi’s brilliant music if it wasn’t for his mum.
But the Scottish singer said Carole is also the reason why the follow up to his No1 album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is being delayed – because she keeps distracting him with memes.
Asked about new music, Lewis said: “I’m trying my best but if I’m honest there’s nothing less inspiring than living at home with your parents during a lockdown when your dad is watching the news and then my mother, she’s recently discovered memes.
"And let me tell you, it has been the bane of my existence for the last few weeks.
“All she does is shove her phone in my face with memes.
“Even when I think I’m safe in my room she’ll send me pictures.”
In an Instagram Live, he added: “So that’s not a very inspiring environment to create in. I’ve been trying to write but it’s been going awful because I keep getting interrupted with memes.
“So expect a meme-based album if I haven’t been killed by my mother.”
Lewis is always a great laugh, so bringing that into his music might not be such a bad thing after all.

“I had a decent voice that could carry a tune but I ended up buying a car from a crackhead . . . that’s a long story . . . but it is the best thing that never happened to me.”
