Jessa Duggar gushes over father Jim Bob after sister Jill’s husband slammed patriarch as ‘toxic’

JESSA Duggar has praised her father amid an ongoing war of words between her sister Jill's husband, Derick Dillard, and the Duggars patriarch, Jim Bob.

posted a new YouTube video which praised her , writing: "As I’m raising my own kids now, I look back on my growing up years and I’m so grateful to God for the parents he blessed me with.

";This is the fruit of those reflections."

, she told fans: "It's good to look back on those years of our youth and thank God for the blessings we see, I want to take this opportunity to look back on my childhood".

"When I think of all the blessings the Lord has given me through my father, the list goes on and on.

"He's not a perfect man, he has issues like we all do."

However, some were wary of the reasons for her posting the video, with many questioning if it was a subtle response to Derick's claims that Jim Bob was "toxic" and "controlling."

One viewer shared: "I bet this is a direct reaction to Derrick's video,."

Another wondered after Derick spoke out: "If this was in any way contrived to limit the damage."

Jill, 28, has been breaking away from her conservative family in recent years, as her husband Derick, 31, has accused her father of withholding money from their TLC reality show.

Derick claimed they learned “too late” that Jim Bob had a “hidden contract” preventing them from accepting a job position.

He continued: "People wonder why we keep making such sudden changes in our lives, this is part of the reason.”

Since the feud, Jill and Derick have been absent from family gatherings, including Christmas.

Jill also skipped out on her sister-in-law Abbie’s baby shower and sister Joy-Anna’s gender reveal.
