Quiz cast share hilarious backstage shots messing around on Millionaire set as ITV drama grips nation
QUIZ star Aisling Bea has shared some hilarious backstage shots of the cast larking around on the set.
The actress shared a slew of snaps of actors like Mark Bonnar and Elliot Levey striking a pose in the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire hot seat.
Aisling, who plays ITV entertainment commissioner, Claudia Rosencrantz, in the drama, shared the candid shots on Instagram.
She captioned them: "Some behind the scenes from #Quiz which continues tonight on @itv at 9. It’s so brill.
"Most of my filming time was myself, Elliot, @mark_bonnar & Ristéard titting around like fifteen-year-olds saying 'OOH GET ONE OF ME IN THE CHAIR! OOH YEAH ME TOO. OOH DO ONE WHERE IT LOOKS LIKE IM ABOUT TO ANSWER.'"
In the photos, the stars posed on the Millionaire set, in a swanky looking business meeting room and next to a cardboard box bearing the sign, "This way up."
Quiz stars Matthew Macfadyen as the disgraced Major Ingram, who was accused of cheating his way to the million pound prize and Michael Sheen as host Christ Tarrant.
Elsehwere, Sian Clifford plays Major Ingram's wife Diana, Mark Bonnar portrays Celador television chairman, Paul Smith, Helen McCrory plays Sonia Woodley QC and Michael Jibson is Tecwen Whittock.
Elliot Levey plays Quiz creator David Briggs and Ristéard Cooper as David Liddiment.
Charles relied on coughs from fellow contestant Tecwen Whittock and Diana to bag the million pound prize in 2001.
Show bosses became suspicious of Charles midway through the prize-winning show, and acted swiftly in its aftermath to alert the police.
Charles was eventually convicted on a single count of procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception after a lengthy trial.
Meanwhile, Quiz fans will be pleased to hear they can get another fix of the coughing controversy on Thursday after the three-part series ends.
The original Charles Ingram cheating episode of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire will be re-aired in full 19 years after the scandal unfolded.
ITV tweeted the news on Wednesday, posting: "'80% of the time I'm wrong when I guess, so I'll go Craig David'.
"Watch this story unfold on QUIZ & see everything for yourself on THURSDAY!"
