BRITAIN'S Got Talent viewers broke down in tears tonight as Ant and Dec hit their golden buzzer for comedy singer Jon Courtenay.

The Manchester act, 46, had the audience and judges in both hysterics and tears with an emotional, family-orientated performance that resulted in a standing ovation.

Jon's eldest son rushed to the stage to give him a hug, leaving the singer wiping his eyes and Declan Donnelly clutching his heart.

Amanda Holden said: "You made me fall to bits, I don't know why.

"I just saw a man who made all his dreams come true."

Simon Cowell called it a "wonderful audition."

He was about to be the first judge to say yes when Ant and Dec came out from the wings and slapped their buzzer sending Jon straight through.

Golden confetti covered the shocked performer, who was then joined by his wife and youngest son as Ant, Dec and the judges congratulated him.

Viewers were moved by the performance and joyful moment.

One wrote on Twitter: "Okay..@BGT.. putting make up on was pointless 🤦🏻‍♀️."

Another shared: "@BGT another week, more happy tears! Jon was amazing!"

While a third wrote: "Why do I always cry at BGT, get a grip."

David Walliams hit his gold buzzer last week for the Sign Along With Us choir.

And earlier in tonight's show he had to lay down and cup his privates as daredevil rider Jack Price reversed to within centimetres of him.

Afterwards, David, 48, said: “I’ve never had a motorcycle touch my testicles before”, and jokes that the ITV show’s producers “got their money’s worth”.

During the stunt, which also saw David wearing a Union Jack helmet, Amanda looked aghast and Alesha Dixon begged: “Please don’t hurt our David.”

But BGT boss Simon Cowell quipped: “It was so exciting seeing David nearly get hurt.”
