Piers Morgan slams Donald Trump again and says he’s ‘over’ President unfollowing him on Twitter
PIERS Morgan has revealed he's "over" his "seismic break up" with Donald Trump after the US President unfollowed him on Twitter.
The Good Morning Britain host was ditched from Trump's friends list on Saturday after he blasted his "bats***" coronavirus cure theory.
The US president has since claimed he was being sarcastic when he and using UV light to treat .
But Piers isn't buying his explanation, and today he told co-host Susanna Reid he wished his old friend would listen to his constructive criticism.
He said: "There’s been a seismic split. We’ve broken up."
When Susanna pressed him about the unfollow, Piers inhaled and said: "I took a deep breath and was like 'I'm over it.'"
During a press briefing, he said: "Supposing we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it's ultraviolet or just very powerful light?" he asked Department of Homeland Security official William Bryan.
"And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body which you can do either through the skin or in some other way.
"And I think you said you're going to test that too? Sounds interesting."
Experts warn that cleaning products can be dangerous and potentially fatal if ingested or put into the body.
And the US leader later tried to defend his comments, saying they had been "sarcastic".
The news follows Trump's press secretary Kayleigh McEnany insisting that his suggestion was taken out of context.
