Piers Morgan’s mum says she’s the ‘proudest in the world’ as she defends him against Lord Alan Sugar
PIERS Morgan's mum has waded into the ongoing feud between her son and Lord Alan Sugar.
The Good Morning Britain host’s mother, Gabrielle Sybille, leapt to her son’s defence after the 73-year-old business tycoon branded him an "utter disgrace".
Lord Sugar made the comment when he tweeted a link to a report of Piers' treatment of safeguarding minister Victoria Atkins on the ITV show.
"You are a utter disgrace @piersmorgan I don't know who the hell you think you are on your self appointed tirade against the GOV (sic)," he wrote.
"I wonder if Mrs Morgan senior ( your mum ) is proud of you. You need help. You are a bully."
And it seems Piers' loyal mum was quick to set the record straight as she tweeted back: "I am the proudest Mum in the world. The only journalist doing his job, as you will find out at the end of all this."
But Lord Sugar wasn't done, and quickly replied: "Well Mrs Morgan you are the only one he will listen to. He has gone over the top and needs a harsh word from you to calm down.
"The point is he is blowing into the wind. The Gov don't take a blind bit of notice of him," The Apprentice star added.

The epic feud between Piers and Lord Sugar has been ongoing for several years now, but it seems their war of words is no longer in good humour.
The tongue-in-cheek rivalry began way back in 2007 when Piers took part in Comic Relief Does The Apprentice - and was fired by Lord Sugar.
The pair also support rival football teams, with Piers being a loyal supporter of Arsenal and Lord Sugar a part-owner of Tottenham Hotspur.
