Southern Charm’s Cameran Eubanks insists she didn’t quit show over ‘false’ rumors about husband’s ‘cheating’
SOUTHERN Charm’s Cameran Eubanks insisted she didn’t quit the show over "false" rumors about her husband’s "cheating."
She told fans to ignore the claims about her marriage calling them just a "ploy for ratings."
Cameran posted on Instagram of her exit: "My decision was made and given to Bravo months ago and had absolutely nothing to do with ridiculous and fake rumors about my marriage.
"Please disregard any fabricated rumor. It’s a ploy for ratings and that’s it."
reported Cameron's husband, Dr. Jason Wimberly, had been having an affair with a makeup artist, Rebecca Leigh Wash, for the past two years.
According to sources, Rebecca and Jason have been on romantic getaways, and Jason is "in love" with her.
Insiders say: “Rebecca’s family loves Jason and she’s completely smitten with him.
"They’re like best friends…always gazing into each other’s eyes like school kids in love.”
Sources added: "He’s not very discreet about the relationship. They’ve been seen out and about.”
Cameran went on in her post that she understands the need to be completely open about your life in order to be on a .
She joined when the show debuted back in 2014.
But she'll no longer accept fabricated rumors in order to fuel content for the show.
Cameran said: "Drama is needed to stay relevant on reality television and sadly false rumors about others are sometimes created. Make of that what you will and consider the source."
"Now I absolutely know I was smart to leave the party early.
"My gut has never failed me."
Cameran admitted she's "sadly" not surprising reality television production has come to this point- it's why she had mostly kept her husband, Jason, off of the show.
She said: "You must protect what is sacred to you.
"Some things aren’t worth a big paycheck."
The 36-year-old mom to toddler daughter, Palmer, whom she shares with Jason, described what's been most difficult in how the unfair allegations have affected her husband.
She described Jason as "the most sincere and faithful human I know."
Cameran added "It disgusts me. He always supported me filming the show even though he wanted no part of the spotlight."
Cameran initially announced she was leaving Southern Charm in the comments of an Instagram photo.
A fan asked: “Missing the show! When are you returning?”
Cameran replied: “I will not be returning.”
The shocking exit followed co-star apologizing after she was accused of sending remarks to radio host Tamika Gadsden.
In a heated exchange over politics, Kathryn sent a monkey emoji to Tamika.
The symbol has long been considered racist against black people.
Kathryn threw out other insults calling the podcaster a “weenie” and telling her to “grow a pair.”
Kathryn has since apologized for her remarks: “I want to acknowledge that using a monkey emoji in my text was offensive, and from the bottom of my heart I sincerely apologize to anyone and everyone I hurt.
“Although the context was not my intention, there are no ‘if ands or buts’ that excuse me.
"I did not give it thought, and it was and is wrong. I know I am not that person. I know and will do better.”

But the backlash didn't end there.
The clothing store, Gwynn's of Mount Pleasant, who Kathryn had been a brand ambassador for, released a statement saying they will no longer be working with her.
The statement read: “As a minority-owned business, Gwynn’s and our employees are dedicated to serving all members of our community.
"Indisputably Kathryn Dennis’ comments and statements to Tamika Gadsen do not reflect the values of the Gwynn’s brand.
"Her previous affiliation as a brand ambassador was periodic and on a contract basis. We stand in unity with people of color and with causes that fight to end injustices.”
The statement was shared on the store's Instagram, and Cameron liked the post.
