GOOD Morning Britain viewers were left furious today after Richard Arnold hung the Union flag the wrong way around.
The entertainment editor of the ITV breakfast show decorated his house for Eurovision weekend - but he got the nation's flag upside down.
And viewers at home were quick to express their rage about the mistake.
According to the UK organisation the Flag Institute: .
GMB fans tweeted the show and demanded an explanation from Richard.
One wrote: "@GMB Richard Arnold your flag is back to front...how rude"
A second said: "@GMB have a word with Richard Arnold his Union flag is upside down!!"
Another added: "Oi @GMB Richard Arnold's Union flag is the wrong way around!!"
The backlash was so evident that hosts Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh read out a long list of names who had been in contact to complain about his flag faux pas.
Richard insisted that he had hung the flag correctly at first - before it fell down during the night and he had to hastily re-hang it this morning.
He said: "You know it came down. I decorated this last night.
