Piers Morgan blasts the United Nations’ ‘garbage’ gender-neutral language list and demands an end to culture wars
PIERS Morgan has slammed the United Nations for releasing a gender-neutral language list in the middle of the global coronavirus pandemic.
The organisation published a list of words to use if someone's gender isn't known - but it irked Piers, who called it "garbage".

It suggests using humankind instead of mankind, swapping chairman for chair and replacing husband or wife with spouse.
On today's Good Morning Britain, Piers raged: "What struck me as extraordinary about this is it seems like a world away, doesn't it?
"This is pre-coronavirus. People would come out with this garbage and I would throw my toys out of the pram on this programme.
"And yet here's the UN, who should be trying to save lives, and yet they think it's important on this day to tell people to stop using the word mankind because it's offensive and sexist."
For the first time in a long while, Piers hit an imaginary button and the image of him with his head in his hands appeared beside 'The world's gone nuts' graphic.
He continued: "One thing I really do think is that at the end of all this we've got to wake up and smell the cappuccino we're not allowed to buy at the moment.
"We cannot go back to this culture war nonsense. I think people's perspectives have completely changed.
"I felt we'd got the perspective we all needed where this kind of thing looked ridiculous."
Piers tweeted his disbelief overnight too.
Sharing the list, which crosses out commonly used titles and replaces them with gender-neutral ones, Piers wrote: "Imagine doing this in the middle of a global pandemic?
"Imagine thinking that the one thing people are really worried about is that the word ‘mankind’ might be offensive?
"We can’t go back to this crap, can we? Down pointing backhand index."

And his eldest son Spencer, 26, felt the same way, writing: "Imagine thinking anyone gives a f*** about this nonsense right now."
Formed after the Second World War, the United Nations has 193 member countries and works with them to maintain peace and security around the world.
It also has a strong focus on social, economic and humanitarian issues.
