Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall grows close to Rizzle Kicks singer Jordan Stephens – ten months after she split from her ex
FINDING love in lockdown is almost an impossible task but Jade Thirlwall is giving it a go.
She is growing close to Rizzle Kicks singer Jordan Stephens and they went on their first date on Tuesday - while socially distancing.
She has been messaging the fellow musician while in quarantine and they finally met up to take a stroll together.
A source said: “Jade has been open to dating for a while now but it can be hard to find the time to meet people usually.
“While stuck at home she started messaging Jordan and they have been getting on but it’s still really early days.
“They met up for a walk on Tuesday afternoon to chat and get to know each other which was nice but nothing has happened between them yet.
“With the lockdown in place, they can’t so much as kiss so they will have to take things slow.”
It’s her first known romance since last July when she split from her boyfriend of three years, The Struts frontman Jed Elliott.
He is now living in the US with his new girlfriend, actress Ginny Gardner, while Jade has been isolating at home with pals in east London.
Jordan had been dating Paolo Nutini's actress ex-girlfriend Amber Anderson, although they are believed to have separated earlier this year.
In their heyday, Rizzle Kicks scored five UK Top Ten singles and two Top Five albums.
Since then Jordan has become the host of the Killing It podcast, where he interviews celebrities about mental health.
Jade and her bandmate Jesy Nelson have both been single throughout lockdown, after the latter split from Love Island star boyfriend Chris Hughes.
But Perrie Edwards has been living with her footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as has Leigh-Anne Pinnock with Watford striker Andre Gray.
They recently released their single Break Up Song, the first track to be taken from their as-yet untitled sixth album.
Here’s hoping the name of that tune doesn’t resonate with any of them anytime soon.
