Carole Baskin is an American big-cat rights activist who appeared in the pop-culture smash-hit Netflix documentary-series Tiger King.

The series explores the feud between Joe Exotic, owner of a controversial private animal sanctuary and Baskin, which had been going on for years and landed the former in prison.
Baskin has long been the subject of internet memes and conspiracy theories surrounding the disappearance of her second husband, Don Lewis.
Many believe Baskin had some part to play in his disappearance, her appearance on Dancing With The Stars was met with backlash from those who feel Don Lewis still deserves justice.

It is not clear what her net worth is, but recent figures show that Big Cat Rescue is worth $13million.
Baskin and her husband paid themselves a salary of $140,000 out of the huge revenue.
Financial documents obtained by The Sun show Carole paid a total of $983,195 to 20 staff and contractors in 2019 - despite her own admissions she does not pay any employees to look after the big cats.
