Piers Morgan leaves Good Morning Britain fans gutted as he takes a week off with Susanna Reid
PIERS Morgan left Good Morning Britain fans gutted as he and Susanna Reid took a week off.
The 55-year-old presenter and Susanna, 44, were missed from the ITV breakfast show today as fans wanted to hear his thoughts on senior government adviser Dominic Cummings breaking his own lockdown rules.
Piers and Susanna revealed on GMB last week that they would not be hosting the show today or the rest of the week - with Piers hinting he might not return.
On Bank Holiday Monday fans wanted to know where the outspoken presenter was, after weeks of him attacking government ministers over their handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
One viewer moaned: "Up early to see piers to go off on one forgot he was off #GMB"
Another said: "I never thought I’d ever say this but this is one of the days I would have loved to see Piers Morgan on GMB #gmb"
Piers and Susanna are taking time off for half-term, with Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins filling in for the pair.
Piers revealed on Thursday: "We're actually having an extraordinary thing happen next week.
"Susanna, Dr Hilary and I are actually going to have a week off. We're going to have half term off next week."
However, viewers have reason to celebrate as showbiz editor Richard Arnold is set to return to the GMB studio today.
Ben told viewers: "Richard Arnold's coming in later and obvs we can't stroke him I've seen pictures of his hair, it's quite out of hand."
They shared a photo of Richard at home, and Charlotte commented: "His hair looks wild. I did suggest some kind of hedge trimmers."

The government stopped giving GMB interviews with ministers after a string of combative interviews with Piers.
Ministers have not appeared on the morning show for over 20 days, despite giving interviews to rivals BBC Breakfast.
Piers wrote on Twitter: “Hi @BorisJohnson @10Downing Street – given your outrageous ongoing boycott of @GMB, we will now be sub-interviewing all cabinet minister appearances on other breakfast shows & holding them/you to account that way.”
