The pair are currently isolating with their children, Sophia, nine, Liberty, Johnny, two, and Jack, 11 months, at their Surrey mansion.

Abbey revealed during the couple’s livestream with : “In seven weeks we haven’t had one argument. When I got pregnant with Jack we hated each other – we didn’t even have sex.”

While Peter added he was “over” homeschooling their youngsters.

Ahead of lockdown, Abbey stocked up on tinned food and bought protective masks in preparation for the coronavirus.

Peter previously revealed: “Abs prepared recently, in light of recent events. She has bought more tinned food than usual – and that’s not even a joke.

“She texted me just saying, ‘I’ve loaded up, just in case’. She’s bulk-buyed. We are ready. We’ve got most of the stuff you need.

“I don’t know where we’d go, we haven’t got a bunker or anything.

“Yes, we have our own masks. Is that not a normal thing?”

Peter and Abbey, who have been married for nine years, will journey to Finland for the show, made by production company Fulwell 73.

A TV insider said: “The move firmly establishes the lofty England striker as a favourite among telly bosses who have hired him for several TV shows on the back of his everyman persona.

“Peter’s the sort of bloke everyone finds funny and relatable, and it’s obvious he and Abbey have a dynamic which will make for good viewing.”
