LOVE Island's Marcel Somerville has been 'rushed to hospital after passing out amid fears he's contracted coronavirus'.

The 31-year-old took part in the 2017 series of the ITV2 reality show, and is reporting he was admitted to hospital two days ago.

Marcel, who was a member of Blazin' Squad, reportedly been sick before falling unconscious before he was taken to hospital.

A source told OK! Magazine: "Marcel has been feeling unwell for a few days and didn’t have any energy. "One day he vomited violently and then passed out.

"He’s been admitted to hospital and has a fever and is still feeling weak."

Marcel and his family are now awaiting test results to see if he has contracted covid-19 or not.

The source added: "He’s been in hospital for two days and they’re still awaiting test results to rule out coronavirus."

The Sun Online has contacted a representative for Marcus for comment.

Marcel last posted on social media two days ago, sharing his support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

Meanwhile his girlfriend Rebecca Vieria is yet to refer to his reported hospital stay, but on Saturday night she reposted his most recent snap on her Instagram and captioned it: "Love you."

The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary last month, with Marcus paying a sweet tribute to Rebecca on social media.
