Piers Morgan queues for a McDonalds despite saying he’s piled on the pounds during lockdown
PIERS Morgan was finally reunited with a tasty McDonalds meal this weekend, despite previously speaking about the fact he's gained weight during lockdown.
Piers, 55, took to Instagram on Sunday and revealed to his 1.1 million followers that he was queuing up at his local Maccy D's in Wandsworth, London.
The snap appeared to show the Good Morning Britain host waiting in line for the drive-thru, and he captioned it: "And lo, the wait for the Holy Gastronomic Grail was finally over... 😁."
Fans were quick to comment on the post, with one person writing: "Enjoy piers you deserve it," while a second added: "I’d literally love one of those bad boys !!"
A third person joked: "Diet going downhill Piers?" while a fourth said: "Hope it was worth the wait!!"
Piers' trip to the fast food chain comes just days after he admitted he's piled on a few pounds whilst on lockdown after gorging on takeaways and wine.
He told GMB co-star Susanna Reid: "I have put on a bit of weight in lockdown," to which she joked: "They call it the Covid 10."
Piers then continued: "I wait all afternoon, and I get to about 6 o'clock, and my wife goes 'shall we have a Chinese, or get the wine out?'"
