Teen Mom star Tyler Baltierra’s troubled dad and Catelynn Lowell’s father-in-law arrested in Michigan
TEEN Mom OG star Tyler Baltierra's father was arrested on Tuesday.
Butch Baltierra is locked up in county jail in Flint, Michigan, according to The Ashley.
Butch - whose son is married to Teen Mom’s Catelynn Lowell - was also previously married to her mother, April, from 2009 to 2013.
It's not clear what Butch - whose real name is Darl - has been charged with.
For one of his charges, his bond has been set at $4,964, according to county records. For the other, it appears that he has no bond offered, says The Ashley.
Last year, during the Teen Mom OG reunion, Dr Drew told the couple to "be realistic" when Butch relapsed.
He missed the birth of his grandchild, Vaeda, which caused a rift.
He was short on money, reported at the time, so Tyler offered to pay to fly him out.
Butch then stopped responding to their text messages, and he wouldn’t let them know if he was coming or not.
At the time, Tyler said: "“Maybe it’s just really not that important to him. Isn’t it crazy to choose drugs over your kids, too. Isn’t it crazy to want to go to prison over being there [for them]?”
Butch told the group in the MTV special: “It’s not like I don’t want to meet my granddaughter, it’s not like that."
Catelynn and Tyler, who are parents to daughters Novalee, 5, and Vaeda, 1, are also owners of online children’s clothing store Tierra Reign.
