GOOD Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins shared a rare photo of her five-year-old daughter Ella Rose on Instagram this evening.

The 45-year-old newsreader shared the sweet snaps as she thanked a company for sending her little girl her "dream" cupcake, with the sweet treat decorated as a cat.

Posting a selection of photos to her social media account, the star wrote: "Big smiles all round as it’s been a while since we’ve had a proper cake!! (I can’t get hold of any icing sugar!).

"I was delighted to be asked to be a judge for @buttercreamycakes Dream Cupcake competition in aid of @surreydriveuk, who’ve been providing hot meals for frontline workers.

"Well done all the winners, and a huge thank you to Butter & Cream cakes for making Ella Rose’s dream cat cupcake a reality! This is not going to last long..."

In the first snap, both Charlotte and Ella Rose are grinning as Charlotte holds up the special cake.

Ella Rose has an uncanny resemblance to her famous mum, with both having their blonde hair loose over their shoulders.

The second picture is a close-up of the delicious looking treat, which looks just like the design Ella had drawn and is proudly holding up in the next snap.

Charlotte and her husband Mark welcomed their daughter in 2015, when the star was 40 years old - and she previously opened up about having a baby later in life.

She said at the time: "We tried for a few years, and I'd got to the stage where I was worried because it just wasn't happening.

"It was a stressful time but I still look at her now and am amazed at the fact that we created this little being, but it still sometimes scares me thinking how different our life would have been if we hadn't had her."

Charlotte previously revealed that she and Mark, who she married in 2008, were close to turning to IVF treatment before discovering that she had conceived naturally.
