RHOA’s Eva Marcille quits show after three seasons during major cast shakeup

EVA Marcille has quit The Real Housewives of Atlanta after three seasons of starring on the Bravo reality series.

She started off on the show as a friend — a supporting player — in season 10 before starring as a main cast member in seasons 11 and 12.

In a statement to The Sun, mother of three shared: “I appreciate the bond of friendship that I have made with several of my cast mates, and the strong personal relationships I have cultivated with numerous executives and producers from Bravo and Truly Original.”

The 35-year-old alum continued: “I am thankful for the opportunity I was provided.

“However, after speaking with my family and representatives, I believe that what I hope to accomplish for the culture and community will be better served by focusing on other opportunities.

“I look forward to serving my community on the Rickey Smiley Morning show and finding ways to be a voice during this transformational time in our country for people of color.”

, who joined RHOA in season 2, revealed at the end of last month that “nobody got their letters” yet about if Bravo wants them back or not and what their status on the show will be.

In January, her friend Wendy Williams claimed Nene was quitting RHOA, but the reality star cleared things up last month and said she hasn’t fully made up her mind yet.

Nene told People: "I don't know. I just don't know. I got back and forth with it every day.

“I feel like it's a big conversation I need to have with the network and with production.

“Because if they value their talent in some sort of way, then we need to talk. We need to come up with some sort of compromise here."

The 52-year-old added: "This time, being quarantined [amid the coronavirus pandemic] has really made me appreciate a lot of things about my life anyway.

“I keep saying to people, 'I want my life back.' I can't have these girls fighting with me on TV for no reason anymore.

“I’ve got to move forward. And if that's all you want from me, I have to move on and I got to go. Me and my wig got to leave, honey."
