Davina, 52, hosted Big Brother and its Celebrity spin-offs from 2000 to 2010, before the series was axed by Channel 4 and made the switch to Channel 5 in 2011.

However, it's Channel 4 that are looking to revive the show and are willing to pay Davina a huge fee to be the host once again.

Emma Willis was the latest host of the show from 2013-2018, but Channel 4 bosses worried it would interfere with her commitments with other reality series such as The Circle.

However, A Channel 4 and Endemol rep has denied the claims that they are in talks with Davina to bring the show back and no future series has been commissioned.

An insider explained: "Davina has been approached about the potential of returning to present Celebrity Big Brother again.

"She is the undisputed queen of the show, so it would be a dream to have her back. They're prepared to work everything around her if it means getting her on board. And of course, there will be a healthy pay cheque on offer."

She added: "Execs hope that means she'll jump at the chance to present a revival if it happens."

They also mentioned that should the show make a comeback, it will most likely be broadcast on E4 rather than the main channel.

However, it seems as though the fans are also convinced the former reality show is making a return.

The verified Big Brother UK Twitter handle was revived last night, just as the Best Shows Ever series got underway.

The account still has 1.5million followers despite its closure almost two years ago and bosses tweeted last night: "We're back at our previous handle of @bbuk.

"Make sure you're following for all the latest on Big Brother in the UK, including Best Shows Ever on E4. Thank you so much for bearing with us."

One giddy fan remarked: "If this ain't slight hints that we might be getting Big Brother back for more than just a celebration.
