This Morning falls victim to spelling mistake
The show missed out a letter in on-screen hashtag 'ActsofKindess'
THIS Morning's production team made an embarrassing slip up on Thursday's episode as they allowed a spelling mistake to appear on screen.
Instead of promoting "ActsofKindness", the hashtag "ActsofKindess" appeared on screen, missing a vital letter "N".
However, it didn't seem to stop viewers getting involved with the discussion online as intended, as they were clever enough to use the correctly spelt hashtag.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were presenting a feature about the acts of kindness carried out by a young part-time worker.
McDonald's employee Robert Aitken gives up his time and money to help the homeless, and was appearing on the show to talk about his latest efforts in Edinburgh.
The young lad recently spent £70 buying burgers and fries for the local homeless, something that the programme felt was a particularly great act of kindness.
Wanting viewers to share their own acts of kindness on Twitter, a hashtag appeared on screen.
But it was spelt without the second letter "N", meaning it read: "ActsofKindess."
One beady-eyed viewer spotted the mistake, Tweeting: "Who’s in charge of spelling, oops.”
However, most kind-hearted viewers took the initiative and spelt the hashtag correctly in order to get involved in the conversation.
One wrote: "Robert, what a lovely role model to teens! @itvthismorning #ActsOfKindness #helpthehomeless."
Another commented: "Omg he's the nicest wee lamb of a boy I've ever seen, crying my eyes out #ActsOfKindness."
One user shared their own selfless act, writing: "@itvthismorning If I've time left on a carpark ticket I leave it for someone else to come along & use #ActsOfKindness."
Luckily, This Morning's social media team did manage to spell the hashtag correctly when they posted a photo of altruistic Robert with the presenters.
Likewise, Phil got it correct when he Tweeted from his own account: "On Thursday's @itvthismorning we have #HighHeelsDebate, #CorrieExclusive #LateLifeDivorce your #ActsOfKindness & #CoolDownCocktails."
