Liam Gallagher heading back to the studio and going solo after hiatus
Singer has given up on an Oasis reunion with brother Noel
LIAM GALLAGHER has finally put his phone down to head back into the studio.
The singer has spent nearly two years toying with the idea of going solo, while still harbouring hopes that older brother NOEL agrees to an OASIS reunion.
Given there’s more chance of Liam being named PEP GUARDIOLA’s new right-hand man at Manchester City, the mouthy star has finally realised he’d better start making some music of his own – rather than trolling his brother on Twitter.
A music insider told me: “The penny has finally dropped with Liam.
“He can’t make any money sitting on his backside and with four kids to pay for, a divorce and a lavish lifestyle to keep up, extra cash will be handy.
“His friends are pleased as he’s finally got something to aim for now he’s given up on an Oasis reunion.”
Liam has been left in music limbo ever since his band BEADY EYE split in 2014.
On his favourite social media site yesterday he hinted there could be some career movement by tweeting:
“Lots of exciting things happening time to get back in ring give us a call ROVER LG x”
The music industry is certainly missing characters like Liam, who can always be relied upon to liven up an award show or two.
He even managed to spice up the Brits in February, despite not even being there.
On the night, he tweeted: “Music in the UK has been abducted by massive c**** THE END LG x”.
It will be interesting to see if he can match Noel’s achievements with his HIGH FLYING BIRDS solo project.
A chart battle between those two would be worth the wait.
