Corrie star Kym Marsh reveals she has moved in with her toyboy lover as she prepares to turn 40
The actress says she’s ‘happier than ever’ as she and Matt Baker celebrate a year together
KYM Marsh has reached a couple of big milestones in her life and says she’s never been happier.
The Coronation Street star has revealed that she has moved in with her toy boy Matt Baker just as they are about to celebrate their first anniversary.
And as she gets ready to turn the big Four-O next month, she told OK! Magazine that she is feeling confident about the next phase of her life.
She said: “I feel happier than ever really. Matt and I are coming up to our one-year anniversary and the time’s flown by. In the past, I’ve made the mistake of rushing into relationships, but neither of us has put any pressure on this relationship and I’m happier because of it.
“He’s wonderful – I’m very lucky. Matt and I have just moved in to a new home together so I feel like we’ve taken the next step in our relationship now. It’s going well.”
Kym has been married twice and last year she split from her fiancé Dan Hooper.
But she said she wouldn’t rule out the possibility of getting married again and added: “I’d never say never. We’ve spoken about our future together and we’re just seeing how it goes.”
One thing’s for certain – Kym won’t be having any more children.
The former pop star has daughter Emilie, 18, and son David, 21, from a previous relationship and five-year-old daughter Polly from her marriage to actor Jamie Lomas.
And she said: “I’ve finished having kids now, so I feel like I’ve got a really good idea of what my life looks like for the foreseeable future and I think that’s comforting.
“I’m happy with work and I’m happy in my personal life, too.”
Kym turns 40 on June 13 and recently celebrated a little early with a huge bash which she shared with son David for his 21st.
Kym found fame with Hear’Say on ITV’s talent show Popstars in 2001, but she quit the band a year later following a series of blistering rows and launched a solo career.
She then landed various TV roles before becoming a Rovers Return regular in 2006.
