RHONY’s Ramona Singer tested positive for coronavirus antibodies after Leah McSweeney slammed her for pandemic partying
REAL Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer revealed she and her daughter, Avery, tested positive for coronavirus antibodies.
, 63, shared the diagnosis after her co-star slammed her for traveling and partying while in Florida during the pandemic.
She said in an interview with that she mild symptoms in February, but the two never got tested for the virus.
Ramona continued: “We both found out we have the antibodies, so we donated our plasma.
"I had no energy. I just wanted to stay in bed all day. I felt very tired, and I also had severe headaches.”
In early March, Mario Singer, who she divorced from in 2015, at his home to isolate.
When their daughter Avery, 24, arrived, she began to feel sick.
Ramona explained: "She just thought maybe she had a cold or a sinus infection, because she wasn't able to taste food and she lost her sense of smell.
“We kept her quarantined in a separate part of the home because, not realizing I had already been sick, I was afraid my Lyme disease had weakened my immune system and I would be more vulnerable to catching an illness."
The family got tested for antibodies in May.
She said: ”We all got tested. Avery and I both tested positive, but Mario was negative. We are all so lucky that we have our health.”
Ramona, who also suffers from Lyme disease, said her symptoms are gone, as she credited her workout routine and clean diet.
She said: "I'm so focused on my health. I have such a strong immune system that my body fought it off. I'm very blessed.”
The Bravo star and her daughter returned home to earlier this month.
She explained of the precautions she took: "When I was on the plane, I wore a mask the whole time, I wore gloves the whole time, and I was washing down everything. I was — and continue to be — extremely socially responsible.”
Ramona said being able to spend time with her family during quarantine was “so special.”
She said: ”The memories that Avery is going to walk away with is just beyond. I made a dinner for our last night together, and she made a toast and she hugged her daddy.
“She just said this was the best experience. She said, 'Even though this was a bad situation for the country and the world, this was the most positive experience I could ever have.’
"We made lemonade out of lemons, I have to say. We really did."
But while in , Ramona was out and about during quarantine.
She posted photos , dining at restaurants and more with no mask on.
Ramona's co-star Leah, who she has over the new star's drunken antics, slammed Ramona for .
The mom of one said in an Instagram video: “I am so disgusted by some of my cast mates and their families who spent the entire f**king quarantine in Florida, living it up, showing everyone how they’re living it up.
“Then Florida of course faces surge. They f**king come back to New York and they’re out like nothing. Not quarantining. Not taking this s**t seriously. And basically laughing in all of our faces. F**k you guys.
“How f**ked up is it that you think you’re going to reap the benefits of our hard work and possibly spread f**king COVID?”

Ramona responded to Leah's remarks to : “My family and I quarantined in Florida for more than three months to stay together during this crisis.
"It was always the plan to come back to New York at this time and we took every precaution possible while traveling.
"The continued health and safety of my family, friends and community is of the utmost importance to me.”
