LAURA Tobin returned to the Good Morning Britain studios for the first time in 98 days after a "huge risk assessment".
The weather presenter, 38, delighted fans as she returned while wearing a purple suit.
Piers introduced the beloved weather forecaster with: "We have a little visitor! Laura Tobin."
Susanna then asked: "How many days have you been away?"
Laura said: "98 days since I was in the studio."
Piers asked: "How's it been? Weird to be back after all this time. We forget about you guys, that half the team hasn't been here."
Laura said: "It's been a real privilege to be working from home, be in my kitchen, to be there to look after my daughter the second the show finishes and take over from my husband.
"Everyone has been doing that plate-spinning juggling with the family.
"It's also been really nice to watch the show from home almost as a viewer and the 98 days has flown by. But it's really nice to be here with a weather map, pointing to things."
She then explained how she was able to return, saying: "A huge risk assessment. It's gone all the way up and all the way back down again."
Piers and Susanna have been working with a reduced studio ever since lockdown began in March.
However, Piers and Susanna will be taking a break from the show for the summer holidays after this week.
The pair announced their departure while updating viewers on Kate Garraway's husband, Derek Draper.
Piers also dropped a big hint he'll be flying to another country for a holiday during Monday's show.
The presenter said: "We will hear more from Kate when she joins us later in the week.

"We're going to talk to Kate on Wednesday I think before we go off for summer and she will have something I'm sure to say about this."
Later on, during a segment on social distancing on aeroplanes, Piers dropped a big hint he'll be going on one.
He said: "I have a vested interest because I'm trying to get away at the end of this week."
