Teen Mom Jenelle Evans’ ex Nathan Griffith accused of ‘stalking,’ ‘threats’ and ‘verbal abuse’ in restraining order
TEEN Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans’ baby daddy Nathan Griffith has been accused of stalking, threats of violence and verbal abuse in a chilling restraining order petition.
In court papers exclusively obtained by The Sun, Nathan's female friend filed a restraining order request against him on July 2, which has been granted for one year.
The female friend, who The Sun has chosen to not name, explained how she was introduced to Nathan, 32, in August 2018 at a Florida lounge and encountered him several times since their initial meeting.
In March 2020, Nathan allegedly “began unwanted, unwelcome contact,” including showing up to her home “uninvited, unannounced, belligerent, drunk” and “refusing to leave when asked,” according to the court documents.
She claimed in the petition that he sent her “unwanted text messages” on social media accounts and would come to her home after being told “not to several times.”
In an alleged April 2020 incident, the pal claimed the reality star came to her home after she told him not to three times.
She called police for trespassing and was advised by an officer to file a restraining order, as the report claimed “no crime had occurred.”
According to the petition, the friend claimed after the incident, Nathan, who is a former military veteran, told her she should “watch [her] 6,” which she took as “watch [her] back.”
She also claimed in court papers that the dad admitted to being “obsessed” and said he will “pull my crazy card.”
She contacted police a second time for harassment, and was again advised to file a restraining order.
The woman alleged in the petition: “He has threatened that if I ‘keep denying him’ that ‘by the time he was done with me I would be unrecognizable.’
"Another threat he made to me over Snapchat was to 'sleep with my eyes open.’”
She continued to claim: “He has shown a pattern of harassment via social media and text which he then follows up by arriving at my residence where he is unwanted, drunk, belligerent and verbally abusive.
“I am afraid for my safety and that of my child’s. I am afraid that he will act on all of his previous threats.
“I am asking for help protecting myself and my family.”
The woman requested her son be protected in the request.
She also attached text messages of their alleged exchanges to the petition.
In one, she told Nathan he needed to “to go home to Ashley,” who is his longtime girlfriend Ashley Lanhardt.
A Temporary Order for Protection Against Stalking was issued at the time.
Nathan and his girlfriend appeared in court on July 14, where a judge granted the restraining order for one year.
Nathan did not immediately respond to The Sun's request for comment.
