James Argent flies out to Marbella after Gemma Collins cancelled trip to avoid seeing him
JAMES Argent was pictured arriving to London Heathrow today to jet out to Marbella after Gemma Collins cancelled her trip to the Spanish hotspot.
The GC was due to be appear at Mark Wright's cousin Elliot's bar in the town as part of a Diva Night - but cancelled her event to avoid seeing him.
In light of the furore, James, 32, looked ready to soak up the sun as he was clad in a pair of navy shorts and a complementing light blue short-sleeved shirt.
The former Towie star complemented the look with a pair of red trainers as he pulled his luggage into the terminal.
Taking care for his flight, the Essex native sported a protective face mask as he was seen entering the airport and queued up to check-in for his flight.
Arg's appearance comes just days after The Sun told how James had branded her a "fat f***" and a "hippo" in a series of furious texts.
Despite the fallout, The Sun's Bizarre revealed that he is now trying to win her back.
Arg told pals he was planning to fly to the Spanish party hot spot of Marbella today to surprise Gemma and convince her to give him another go.
The GC was meant to be appearing at Elliot Wright's bar in the town as part of a Diva Night.
And she was said to be so concerned about him turning up and causing a scene that she had employed a security guard to keep the peace.
But after hearing about his plot, she cancelled her trip and decided to stay at home - blaming it on travel restrictions despite flying to Tenerife last week.
She said: "I am so sorry but due to the latest expected travel advice I am so gutted to not be able to host the evening.
"I have imminent filming commitments and have been advised by health and safety that it would be best to stay in the UK for now.
"I was so excited for this night and I was really looking forward to having a good boogie and a drink!"
The former The Only Way Is Essex stars have had an on-off relationship since 2012 and split again this month.
In a row over Arg taking another woman to dinner, the texts from Gemma began: "What man pays for another woman?"
Arg then hit back: "You are supposed to be treating me, you hippo."
Gemma ended their row with: "We're over."
But while she’s been unlucky in love, Gem reckons she’s the woman to help other people have romances which stand the test of time.
In an announcement on The Gemma Collins Podcast, she said: "I am going to be bringing you an extra podcast on BBC Sounds.
