The ever-youthful star revealed ITV would be giving away 50 cash prizes in one day to celebrate his milestone birthday.

But the massive cash giveaways are not what got viewers' attention, but rather Andi's age.

They were shocked he was turning so 50, when he looked so young and took to Twitter to express their surprise.

One Twitter user wrote: "#gmb how is #andipeters 50?"

Lorraine will be going on her summer holiday - leaving Andi and Christine Lampard to fill her shoes.

Asked about taking over the role on GMB, Andi said: "That is correct. In the summer holidays while Lorraine goes to have a well deserved break - god bless her, she's been on for months and months and months.

"I'll be filling in for Lorraine alongside Christine [Lampard], who will be there as well."

The last man to replace Lorraine was Michael Ball in 2010.
