‘I’m happy as a size 16… But I’d do a weight loss DVD for £30k’: Defiant Chanelle Hayes strips off on Loose Women
The reality TV star had no qualms wearing a bikini on national TV

CHANELLE Hayes has silenced her haters by flaunting her size 16 curves on live television – but still admitted she’d do an exercise video if the price was right.
The former Big Brother star was a guest on Loose Women this afternoon and decided to show the world how proud she was of her curves by stripping down to a bikini in the studio.
She threw off her white towelling robe and strutted her stuff down the aisle to Destiny’s Child’s Bootylicious and loud applause from the audience and hosts.
But when panellist Janet Street Porter asked her if she had gained the weight in order to bring out a fitness DVD, Chanelle said she’s never been happier – but said she would if the money was right.
She said: “If someone said they’d give me £30,000 to do a DVD then yes, I’ll drop any weight. I’m a single mum and have to pay the bills, but I didn’t gain the weight to do that.”
Chanelle, 28, was a guest on the show to talk about her six stone weight gain in just two years and arrived carrying a cardboard cut-out of herself nine years ago at a size 8.
But she said: “I was miserable. I was on a diet all the time. I was just so evil, was starving all the time, really, really hungry.
“I was always in a bad mood and was probably close to having an eating disorder.”
And she revealed that now, at a size 16, she is much happier now and added: “I have a healthier approach to eating. I can go somewhere and I can sit there and have a cake and coffee with the other mums.
“I’m a bit like a dog, I reward myself with food. If I’ve had a good day I’ll have a Krispy Kreme but I still got to the gym, can still get through a gym class, do a lot of healthy things, I don’t just sit there and shove pizza in my face.”
Chanelle also slammed Status Quo star Francis Rossi who this week said, “I don’t like large people” after admitting he spent time talking to a “extremely large woman” backstage at a gig.
Chanelle said: “So rude! I don’t like older men with really ratty ponytails so I guess we’re not going out for coffee anytime soon!
“There are lots of people I don’t like but don’t feel the need to broadcast it!”
