Friends to begin filming special reunion episode ‘in the next two weeks’ after months of delays
FRIENDS is set to start filming after major delays - in the next couple of WEEKS.
The iconic sitcom is thought to be back in action in the next two weeks getting the ball rolling to see the famous five back together.
According to sources, production is back on track after the team were forced to halt filming due to the coronavirus.
Speaking to the production company Fulwell 73 are set to shoot in the next two weeks in time for HBO Max’s launch in May.
Fulwell 73 partner Leo Pearlman said: "We’re very excited for that.
“We’re assuming that even 2021 doesn’t have audiences that we are used to for any of the shows that we make.
"If that changes, then great,” he said about the lack of studio audience due to social distancing. “The only way it changes is if you have a vaccine,” he said.
Friends set will appear very different for stars filming the long-awaited reunion episode in August, with "strict" rules for social distancing.
The and subsequent lockdown saw the HBO Max follow up to the iconic US sitcom put on the back-burner at the start of the summer.
The Sun reported previously how the cast of Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt Le Blanc will return to set soon.
UK publication The Mirror has told how filming will be hugely different to the cast being cozied up on the sofas at Central Perk Cafe.
A source told the publication: "There are going to be very strict guidelines and that includes no live audiences,' one source told the outlet.

"All of the cast will be tested for Covid-19, and asked to quarantine in isolation after they’ve had the tests."
The cast are set to film the special in the show's original Burbank studios in California as long as the coronavirus situation doesn't get any worse in the US.
