‘Women are a nicer species’: Josie Gibson vows to become a lesbian after getting back in the dating game
The reality TV star split from her fiancé last spring – but is not having much joy finding a new man
JOSIE Gibson has vowed to become a lesbian after getting back in the dating game.
The reality TV star has been single since she split from fiancé Luke Sanwo last April and has decided the time has come to meet someone new.
But taking to her Twitter page last night, she bemoaned the lack of decent men and said she might give women a go.
Josie, who shot to fame in 2010 after winning Big Brother, wrote: “So I've decided to start dating again and by god it's really hard work. No offence guys… but it just seems like I'm sieving through w*****s.”
She then added that she might have better luck with her own sex and said: “I think I might have to become a lesbian... Women are nicer species.”
Her fans and followers were quick to reply and reassure her she wasn’t alone.
One wrote, “And there you have it, one of the main reasons I've stayed single for so long, really can't be bothered with the male species,” while another added: “They are but I'm not looking to bat for the other side anytime soon.”
But this is not the first time Josie hinted she might be better off if she was gay.
Speaking to Now magazine last July, just a few months after her split from her fiancé, she said: “If someone told me I could happily spend the rest of my life with a woman, I would. I’m not bisexual and I don’t mean that in a sexual way I just feel I’m more suited to women. They’d be more loyal.
She also wished her followers good luck in their search for Mister Right – hoping hers might be Twilight star Kellen Lutz after he posted on his page: “Don't wait for someone to make you happy. Make yourself happy and one day someone will be happy to have you.”
To which Josie replied: “I’d be so happy if you took me on a date… so um yeah…”
