Cheryl shocks fan by visiting her newborn baby at home after she couldn’t make the new mum’s wedding
CHERYL made one fan’s dream come true today when she visited her at her home to meet her newborn baby.
Cheryl, 37, decided to surprise Michelle Illingworth by turning up at her house after learning that her planned baby shower had been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
An insider explained to The Sun Online: “Cheryl visited Michelle earlier today – Michelle’s a huge Cheryl fan and previously invited her to her wedding but Cheryl couldn’t make it.
“After Michelle’s baby shower got cancelled because of COVID, Cheryl decided to go and meet the baby as an amazing lockdown treat!”
Taking to Instagram, Michelle posted several pictures of her with Cheryl in her back garden and understandably appeared to be in shock.
In the first image, big-hearted Cheryl and Michelle are following social distancing guidelines as they sit apart underneath a gazebo.
As the new mum cradles her son, she has the biggest smile on her face from her idol’s kind gesture.
Cheryl is also grinning and looks stylish in a pair of burnt orange wide-leg trousers and a plain white tee.
Michelle captioned the post: “I am actually speechless.. Luca had a very special visitor today.. CHERYL 😭😍💙 my heart is so so full. I have no words, I love her so so much.”
She went on to quote what Cheryl had apparently told her, which was: “I couldn’t make your wedding & you’ve supported me over the years, the least I could do was come and see you and your beautiful new baby.”
Michelle then added: “👶🏼💙 #Cheryl #memories #happiness #idol.”
Another image shows Michelle and her family posing with Cheryl – with the former Girls Aloud singer stood front and centre.
Michelle also posted snaps on Twitter, writing alongside it: “CHERYL CAME TO MY HOUSE AND VISITED LUCA,” followed by several crying face emojis.
It seems Michelle’s friend Jade set up the meeting as she also tweeted about the special visit.
The fellow hardcore Cheryl fan posted a picture of the mum-of-one holding a green cuddly toy that belongs to baby Luca.
When one person replied to the pic saying: “This is too cute..Michelle deserves this SO much,” Jade replied: “Honestly nearly cried when Cheryl left and we was FaceTiming about it all!
“I’ve never wanted something so much for someone, she deserves the world and we’ll make sure we can give her it any way we can.”
She went on to describe Cheryl as the “sweetest woman ever” as other fans commented on how lovely the gesture was.
“This is adorable,” one person wrote, while another added: “This is the cutest thing, so lovely of her.”
Cheryl has been pretty quiet during lockdown, and the last selfie she posted on social media was on April 16 when she thanked the NHS for all of their hard work.
