Former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly splits from her husband of seven years
FORMER Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly has split from her husband of seven years.
The Liar actress, 40, was seen earlier this week helping removal staff take belongings from her house.
She met Aussie digital analyst Ryan Clark in 2011 and they wed in Las Vegas in 2013.
The couple, who have two daughters Orla, six, and Rose, three, are selling their North London home and she is relocating to the north of England to be closer to her family and hometown of Barnsley.
A spokesman said: “Katherine and Ryan have made the difficult decision to separate.
“They see it as a positive move for both of them and the separation is completely amicable.
“Their children are their top priority and they will continue to co-parent as good friends.”
The actress found fame on the ITV soap playing recovering heroin addict Becky McDonald.
A source said: “It’s tremendously sad that it hasn’t worked out, but their decision to split wasn’t a rash one and their relationship isn’t a victim of the recent lockdown.
“They’ve thought about the future of their family long and hard and know that this is the best decision. They’re on great terms and constantly in touch discussing their kids.”
Katherine has also starred in Mr Selfridge, Cheat, Gentleman Jack and Happy Valley.
She is still close pals with school friend Mike Tindall, the former England rugby star, who is married to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara.
Katherine has opened up before about juggling motherhood with her career.
She said: “I’ve got a much better work balance than I had ten years ago.”
