Corrie’s Lucy Fallon reveals painful bruises on her legs from Don’t Rock The Boat after 24-hour rowing challenge

LUCY Fallon has shocked fans after revealing painful looking bruises on her legs from filming new television show Don’t Rock The Boat.

The former Corrie star, 24, took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday evening to show off her painful-looking injuries after taking part in the upcoming ITV series.

Alongside a photo of her bruised legs, she wrote: "Rowing is no joke."

Lucy, who recently left her role on the cobbles as Bethany Platt, is part of the 500-mile expedition where 12 famous faces have been challenged to row from Land’s End to John o’Groats.

Taking to the sea, the teams will battle hell and high water to win the coastal race.

The actress injuries come after he was spotted filming Don't Rock The Boat at Oban North Pier in Scotland alongside fellow celebs Jack Fincham, Tom Watson, Fleur East, Adam Thomas, Shaun Wallace and Craig Charles.

The star has been keeping fans updated with regular snaps from her 24 hour rowing journey.

Sharing a photo of her fellow Don’t Rock The Boat celebs, she wrote: “The next adventure with these beautiful human beings. Grateful for every second if it, coming to your screens, ITV, later this year. Hold tight everyone in the building.”

The Sun recently revealed that the soap actress had split from her boyfriend of four years Tom Leech – because lockdown “drove them apart”.

Lucy agreed to end the relationship before joining the new adventure series.

A source said: “She and Tom have called it quits and are no longer together. They spent lockdown together but it gave them time to evaluate what they want.

“They decided taking time apart was the best idea and they have gone their separate ways.

“Tom has never courted the spotlight and has quit social media because he doesn’t want to see anything related to her.

“She has thrown herself into Don’t Rock The Boat and has been trying to keep busy with filming, but it’s not been easy.”

Lucy has put a brave face on the break-up — simply posting pictures and videos on social media with her new co-stars, including singer-songwriter Fleur East and YouTuber Joe Weller.

Lucy has formed a close friendship with her Don’t Rock The Boat co-star Joe Weller following her split from her long-term boyfriend.

But insiders have claimed their relationship has caused a rift within her and Tom’s friendship groups – and raised eyebrows during filming.

A source said: “Lucy and Joe clicked from day one of filming on Don’t Rock The Boat.

“It’s a tight-knit group but Lucy and Joe had a spark, everyone noticed it.

“They’ve been hanging out together during free-time from filming and have shared pictures of each other on their Instagram stories.

“Not everyone has been impressed though. Lucy's had a few messages from people about her friendship with Joe.

“She’s adamant they’re just pals and it’s nothing more but people who knew her and Tom as a couple think it’s a pretty bad look.

“Lucy has said she feels torn as she’s not done anything wrong but she respects Tom and doesn’t want his feelings to get hurt”

Lucy, who played Bethany Platt in Coronation Street, quit the soap at the start of this year to pursue new opportunities.

ITV are yet to confirm a release date for Don’t Rock The Boat, but the new show was announced in ITV’s Autumn schedule.

This means it will air on the channel later in 2020 and will consist of five episodes, each lasting an hour.
