Amanda Holden reveals she feared pal Simon Cowell was going to die from horror bike accident
AMANDA Holden has revealed she feared Simon Cowell was going to die from his horror accident.
ITV insiders believe Simon will miss the BGT final after breaking his back falling off his electric bike.

Amanda said: “I honestly panicked it could be fatal. It was gut-wrenching. I got a text in the night. I couldn’t sleep after.
“I felt physically sick as I didn’t know how bad it was. I didn’t know what was going on.
“I wanted him to be alive, but I also wanted him to be able to walk as he’s such a good friend.”
Simon has had rods inserted in his back and an ITV source said: “He will not return to the panel in time for the final. He’s obviously a massive loss but we are happy with the very talented judging panel.”

Amanda is in touch with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman since he doesn’t have a phone. She added: “I sent him some Lego, some cashmere socks, the Charlie Mackesy The Boy The Mole and The Fox books and some butterscotch Angel Delight which is his favourite.
"So hopefully he's being fed that through a drip somewhere!
“Gorgeous Lauren is keeping his spirits up. She's been doing the round-the-clock care. She’s been cooking him turkey shepherd pies - I've no idea what these are called, I think officially it's a Gobbler's pie?!
"And I know one of our producers spoke to him earlier this week and says he sounds amazing, really well."
"If I was a betting woman, I would say he will be back for the final in some form because I don't think he could bear to miss it.
"But at the moment we are acting like he's not coming and doing the best we can without him.
"Otherwise he will do it live by Zoom – it could be like the Wizard of Oz. When the curtain goes back we just see his scary face! Alesha can be Dorothy. Ashley the tin man. David the scarecrow! And I’ll be Toto the dog!”
She added: “Simon used to say I was made of steel and I would say, surely you mean titanium? Ironically I now have titanium in my leg."
Amanda, who broke her leg in two places last year after a freak accident on an inflatable obstacle course, added: "And Simon has it in his back, so we’re both made of the same stuff!"
